First Lady Emelda (Faciane) Tolbert, a Louisiana native, is the wife of 43 years to Bishop Mark C. Tolbert,
Bishop and Overseer of Victorious Life Church in Kansas City, Missouri, and 1st Assistant Presiding Bishop of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. They are the proud parents of two sons: Mark Curtis Tolbert, Jr. (transitioned to be with the Lord) and Britton Elliott Tolbert.
First Lady Tolbert served as the First Lady of Victorious Life Church for over 33 years in multiple ministries: Director of Women’s Ministry, Fashion Share – a ministry that ministers to women and children of domestic violence, Daughters of Divine Destiny Teen Scholarship Pageant- a mentoring ministry for teenage girls, the Bereavement Ministry, just to name a few. She also served as the Chief Administrator and Board Secretary of Lee A. Tolbert Community Academy.
An Entrepreneur, Lady Tolbert has been a Director with Neolife International (a nutritional and herbal products company) for over 30 years. She is a Certified Nutritionist Consultant and Certified Clinical Master Herbalist. She also holds a degree in Fashion Merchandising.
Lady Tolbert is a 23 year breast cancer survivor. While being treated for breast cancer, she and Bishop Tolbert lost their 19 year old son in a car accident. Regardless of what First Lady goes through, she stands firm on two of her favorite scriptures: Psalms 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. , and Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Lady Tolbert is a gifted and inspirational speaker with a passion to impart knowledge unto to others. Her genuine love and compassion for people, her spirit of perseverance, southern hospitality, quick wit, hard work ethic, organizational skills and spirit of excellence are just some of her most recognized and appreciated attributes.
